Beautiful tweedy bouclé sweater knit in a sweet dark pink shade. Long sleeve cardigan features a full button front, matching covered buttons, crochet-trimmed scalloped collar and matching flaps on the false pockets. Midi-length skirt features an elastic waist, slightly flared silhouette, and a ribbed treatment to the bouclé knit. The elastic waistband is in good condition with no brittleness detected, however with regular wear it may need to be replaced in the future. ILGWU International Ladies Garment Workers Union tag indicates this garment was made between 1955-1962. Spot on the button placket - has not been stain-treated. Size tag indicates “18”, however this was worn by my very petite relative who would be about a modern size 10. Dress form is a size small | 6/8. Excellent vintage condition.
